Lashika Yogendran, MD, MS, Elected to UWHC Medical Board

Lashika Yogendran, MD, MS, has been elected to the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics (UWHC) Medical Board as an at-large member. Yogendran’s two-year term begins September 1, 2026.

“I am looking forward to serving on the UWHC Medical Board as an at-large member to give a voice to family medicine and advocate for how primary care fits within the larger UW Hospitals and Clinics system as a whole,” said Yogendran.

Yogendran provides care for patients of all ages, including inpatient medicine, outpatient clinic, and obstetrics. She is an associate program director for the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health Madison Family Medicine Residency Program. Yogendran was drawn to family medicine because it allows her to care for many patient types across the lifespan. She enjoys establishing long-term relationships with her patients and helping them become the best versions of themselves.

The UWHC Medical Board establishes a framework for self-government and a means of accountability to the Board of Directors. The medical board serves as the executive committee for the medical staff and primarily concerns itself with the quality of care within the hospital.
