Sarina Schrager, MD, MS Inducted to Bishop Society

Sarina Schrager, MD, MS was inducted into the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) Bishop Society in February 2026. The society is a community of experienced senior leaders in STFM intended to serve as a professional home for mid- and senior-career faculty who have held multiple leadership positions.
Schrager was recognized for her “exceptional dedication to advancing scholarship, mentorship, and clinical excellence.” She serves as editor in chief of Family Medicine and is the medical director of the Wisconsin Research & Education Network. She leads faculty development for the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health and practices full-spectrum family medicine.
The goals of the Bishop Society include recognizing distinction, creating a forum for interaction and project work, encouraging continued involvement in STFM, and creating a resource for mentorship, leadership, and counsel for STFM leaders.
STFM is a national community of academic leaders committed to developing an accomplished family medicine workforce prepared to serve as the foundation of America’s health care system. Their mission is advancing family medicine to improve health through a community of teachers and scholars.
