Summer Student Research and Clinical Assistantship (SSRCA)

The University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is eager to work with medical students on quality improvement projects and people-oriented, clinically relevant, hands-on research. The Summer Student Research and Clinical Assistantship (SSRCA) pairs faculty members, fellows, and residents with medical students for a mentored 8- to 10-week scholarly and clinical experience in the summer between the student’s first and second years of medical school. Students have ample opportunities to see patients in a variety of settings, learn important research concepts and skills, and participate in social events with faculty and other students. Project descriptions and application materials are typically available in early January.
