Bio

Savannah Rios, MD, joined DFMCH in 2026 as a resident. She is drawn to family medicine because of her passion for preventive care and for empowering patients to take an active role in their health through education and shared decision-making. Her interests include integrative health, mental health, and sexual health.

The importance of patience, trust, and meeting individuals where they are shape how Rios approaches patient care and how she builds meaningful, long-term relationships in family medicine. She has explored whole-person approaches to care as founder of the Integrative Medicine Student Interest Group at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and as a student leader in the Leadership and Education Program for Students in Integrative Medicine.

Rios enjoys practicing yoga, spending time in nature, baking, and dancing to electronic music.
