Bio

Rita Henien Bybee, DO, is a fellow with professional interest in full-spectrum family medicine, prenatal care and obstetrics, geriatric and palliative medicine, and LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming care. Her academic goal during her fellowship is to pursue further training in obstetric ultrasonography and pain management options for procedural contraception.

Henien Bybee participated in the Fundamentals of Global Health course for two years during her residency. She demonstrated community involvement with the ARC-Maternal and Infant Program in Madison, Wisconsin, facilitating discussion-based educational sessions on a six-month rotating curriculum for pregnant or postpartum women with history of substance use.

Henien Bybee enjoys trail running, hiking, cross-country skiing, reading, traveling, and trying new outdoor activities with her family and friends.

Clinical Interests

Henien Bybee’s clinical interests include reproductive health care, pregnancy care, managing substance use disorders in pregnancy, and osteopathic manipulative medicine.

Teaching Interests

Henien Bybee has a mentorship-focused teaching style with interests in improving resident learning of pregnancy topics, management of substance use disorders in pregnancy, and procedural skills.
