Bio

Rachael Rainey-Thomas, MD (she/her) joined DFMCH in 2025 as faculty. Rainey-Thomas is a family medicine physician who practices full-spectrum care, serving patients of all ages from newborns to seniors. With a passion for building lasting relationships, she focuses on providing comprehensive care that spans preventive health, chronic disease management, and acute conditions. She is committed to empowering patients and values shared decision-making while working collaboratively with individuals and families to develop personalized treatment plans that are evidence based. By fostering open communication and mutual trust, Rainey-Thomas strives to support each patient’s unique health goals and enhance overall well-being.

Clinical Interests

Rainey-Thomas’s clinical interests include preventive health, women’s health and obstetrics, procedures, and pediatric and adolescent medicine.
