Bio
Lisa Thomas Prince, MPH, is a UW Heath certified mindfulness instructor. She also leads moving meditation practices like Qigong and Yoga, which can be helpful for people who find seated meditation challenging.
In addition to teaching mindfulness meditation to adults of all ages, Lisa has specialized training in working with expectant parents and families. Introducing mindfulness is a way to support them through pregnancy, labor, delivery, parenting and life. This training is enhanced by her experience as a parent and her work within reproductive health care programs.
Lisa’s care philosophy is based on the idea that everyone already has mindfulness within them. She believes that mindfulness is not something we learn, but something we uncover by letting go of old habits and beliefs. Her goal is to help people reconnect with their inner strength and peace, especially during life’s challenges.
Outside of work, Lisa enjoys traveling, hiking, swimming and stand-up paddleboarding. Her personal experiences—including living abroad, facing health challenges and coping with loss—have deepened her understanding of how mindfulness can support healing.
