Bio
Katrina Weimer, MD, FAAFP, FASAM, provides care for patients of all ages, including prenatal care and management of chronic health conditions. She provides full-spectrum care in family medicine including obstetrics, procedures, and outpatient clinic.
Weimer is an assistant professor with the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health Family Medicine Residency Program. She also provides care at the UW Health Compass Program for patients with substance use disorders.
Weimer was drawn to a career in family medicine because it allows her the opportunity to care for patients throughout their lifetime and to see a diverse patient population. She enjoys establishing long-term relationships with her patients and collaborating over time to help them achieve their health goals and address health concerns as they arise.
Clinical Interests
Weimer’s clinical interests include obstetrics and pediatric care, whole-person health care, ultrasound, addiction medicine and substance use disorders, and osteopathic manipulation.
Teaching Interests
Weimer’s teaching interests include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in the office, OR, and labor & delivery settings. She aims to share her passion for patient-centered care and specifically enjoys guiding learners throughout their education journey, joining them in the goal of lifelong learning.
Scholarly Interests
Weimer’s scholarly interests include addiction medicine and obstetrics and family-centered care in the family medicine context.
