Bio

Jonathan Cartwright, BA, joined DFMCH as a research specialist for the Wisconsin Research and Education Network (WREN). He graduated from Dartmouth College in 2024 with a major in psychology and minor in environmental studies. Cartwright’s professional interests include climate change impacts on public health, social media and health outcomes, and the perception and stigmatization of mental illness.

In college, Cartwright contributed to the development of an AI chatbot designed to help users with anxiety, depression, and eating disorders who were unable to see providers. Users of the model, called Therabot, showed significant reductions in symptoms during trials.

Prior to his role at WREN, Cartwright worked in implementation services on Epic’s pharmacy application team. He successfully oversaw hospital onboarding in Texas and California and led internal all-team meetings to further knowledge-sharing within the application.

In his free time, he enjoys dancing hip hop, reading, hiking, and watching Survivor.
