Carly Hamer has collaborated with many teams across the department over the years but primarily works on upper respiratory illness studies as a research specialist. Her interests include the operational aspects of clinical and community-based research and the collaborative work required to bring studies from conception to completion. She is passionate about supporting the successful implementation of research studies through thoughtful coordination and partnership.
Research Interests
Hamer’s research interests include:
- Clinical and community-based research focused on upper respiratory illnesses and infectious diseases
- Coordination and operational leadership of multi-site clinical trials and public health studies
- Community-engaged research approaches that improve participant recruitment, retention, and study implementation
