Bio

Trina Pal, MD (she/her/hers) joined DFMCH in 2025 as a resident. As an undergraduate student, Pal led a non-profit organization based out of Detroit called Seven Mile. The organization taught weekly art and creative writing lessons to children attending underfunded public schools. This experience inspired Pal to pursue medicine in support of underserved communities.

Pal became passionate about reproductive justice while serving as a patient escort at an abortion clinic in Cleveland during medical school. Studying forest ecosystems while in pursuit of her bachelor’s degree in ecology also shaped her view of medicine. She is inspired by the natural world and has a focus on the field of environmental health and environmental justice.

Outside of medicine, Pal enjoys hiking, reading, dancing, and watercolor painting.
