Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship

The University of Wisconsin Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship is a one-year program designed to train primary care physicians to become academic leaders in the care of sports-related problems in children, adolescents, and adults.

Become part of the Badger legacy of excellence in caring for University of Wisconsin varsity athletes from the training room to game day while working with outstanding faculty physicians, licensed athletic trainers, physical therapists, and other health professionals.

As a fellow, you will receive the clinical education needed to treat a wide variety of sports- and exercise-related conditions and to develop as both a teacher and a researcher in sports medicine. Completing the fellowship also makes you eligible to take the Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) exam in sports medicine. Our program is highly regarded both clinically and academically and maintains maximum ACGME accreditation.

The fellowship is based in the University of Wisconsin Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation and collaborates closely with the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health.
