Bio
Taryn McGinn Valley, MD, PhD, joined DFMCH in 2026 as a resident. Family medicine allows her to advocate for patients’ priorities and incorporate medical knowledge and community context. Her interests include reproductive health, family planning, pregnancy care, LGBTQ+ health, mental health care, and end-of-life care.
Valley’s medical training throughout Wisconsin and around the world inspired her to help people pursue their own best lives. She has had the opportunity to conduct research in rural Guatemala and collaborate with community health workers, serve as a MEDiC clinic coordinator prioritizing free, high-quality care for uninsured and underinsured patients, and center patient priorities to fulfill their needs.
