Bio

William McRoy, MD, joined DFMCH in 2026 as a resident. His interests include longitudinal care and relationships, preventive care, geriatrics, and palliative medicine. Family medicine allows him to apply a broad scope of practice to address patient needs and to develop long-lasting relationships as patients age. He wants to be a physician who improves patients’ quality of life and empowers them to achieve their health goals.

McRoy’s involvement with the Medical Ethics Interest Group, of which he was co-president, helped shape how he approaches complex clinical decisions, including the use of thoughtful communication, shared decision-making, and respect for patient autonomy. He hopes to cultivate meaningful, long-term relationships with patients who can trust him through each stage of life.

McRoy enjoys soccer, hiking, technology, and socializing with friends.
