Bio

Jay Lindner, MD, joined DFMCH in 2026 as a resident. His interests include sports medicine, rural full-scope practice, gender-affirming care, global health, and motivational interviewing. He is inspired by the physicians he’s known as a patient and student and the dignified care they provide.

Lindner was introduced to medicine as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He is grateful for the insight into the lives of others through making calls to their homes and workplaces, as well as the opportunity to serve his community. An internship in general surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center provided him with extensive exposure to the military health system and cutting-edge medical and surgical care. His first experience leading a clinic came during an undersea medicine tour in the U.S. Navy.

Lindner enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, reading, bodybuilding, motorcycles, and spending quality time with friends and family.
