Fellowship Programs

The University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health sponsors several clinical and research fellowship programs to help family physicians further meet their career goals.  

Clinical & Research Fellowships

Supports family physicians in enhancing their teaching, clinical, scholarly, and leadership skills.

Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship  

Develops academic leaders in the care of sports-related problems in children, adolescents, and adults.

Rural Family Medicine Obstetrics Fellowship

Offers surgical training and high-risk obstetrical experience for family physicians planning to provide rural care.

Fellowship Symposium

The University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health (DFMCH) Fellowship Symposium is a bi-annual event showcasing the research and scholarly work of our research and clinical fellows.   

Enjoy short podium presentations, discuss strategies and methods pertinent to primary care research, meet our trainees, and offer feedback to early career clinicians and researchers.  

Our symposia are presented by the University of Wisconsin T32 Primary Care Fellowship.

Time: 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Location: Oak Room at DFMCH Administrative Building (610 N. Whitney Way, Madison, WI, 53705)

We welcome your presence and participation. In-person attendance is strongly encouraged. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided, and we encourage you to stay for networking following the presentations. 

A virtual attendance option is available.
