Jill Costello to Serve on STFM Steering Committee

Jill Costello, BA, has been invited to serve on the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) Medical Student Education Collaborative Steering Committee. Costello will serve a one-year term and is the first program manager to be invited to the committee. The national committee works to support the goals and objectives of the Medical Student Education Collaborative including faculty engagement and collaboration in medical student education, scholarship efforts related to medical student education, and increasing medical student awareness of family medicine and STFM.
Costello is the medical student education program manager for the department’s Office of Medical Student Education and leads development, implementation, and ongoing operations to meet strategic, departmental, and student development goals. She looks forward to contributing critical insight from the operational side of medical student education and helping to maximize STFM’s impact resulting in meaningful, lasting change.
STFM is a national community of academic leaders committed to developing an accomplished family medicine workforce prepared to serve as the foundation of America’s health care system. Their mission is advancing family medicine to improve health through a community of teachers and scholars.
