Congratulations to Yohualli B. Anaya, MD, MPH (Associate Professor, CHS) on being selected by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities as a 2024 Health Disparities Research Institute Scholar! Anaya will attend the institute’s program at the National Institutes of Health campus in Bethesda, Maryland from August 5-9, 2024. Scholars are selected through a competitive process. The Health Disparities Research Institute aims to give an overview of leading issues facing minority health and health disparities research. Scholars will attend lectures, seminars, mock grant reviews, and interactive and small group sessions with leading scientists and NIH staff.

The National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities “invests in research and fosters collaborations and partnerships to promote and support evidence-based science to inform practice and policy” with a goal of reducing and eventually eliminating health disparities.
