Madison and Baraboo Class of 2024 family medicine residents gathered at the Fluno Center on May 22 to celebrate each other and the faculty and mentors who inspire them. As graduation draws near, Senior Night is a chance to connect with classmates and reflect on the past three years.
Residents each gave a 5-minute presentation about a community health experience or other scholarly project they undertook during their residency. Topics ranged from opioid use disorder treatment options to free walk-in clinic improvements and even an account of the highs and lows of writing a textbook chapter in the digital age. DFMCH faculty Allison Couture, DO, MPA; KJ Hansmann, MD, MPH, PhD; and Sean Duffy, MD, gave a 2-minute response to each presenter sharing their wisdom and words of encouragement. As the evening concluded, Madison Residency Program Director, Thomas Hahn, MD, urged the Class of 2024 to continue to share their passions, be curious, always evaluate and listen to their patients.
Bravo, Class of 2024!
See the Senior Book (PDF) for a detailed description of each project.
