Congratulations to Randy Brown, MD, PhD (Professor) on being elected as the next president of the American College of Academic Addiction Medicine (ACAAM)! Brown will serve as president-elect for two years before moving into the role of president to lead the ACAAM Board of Directors in carrying out the organization’s mission by directing the management of ACAAM’s affairs and providing strategic guidance and leadership.
Brown is the founding director of the University of Wisconsin addiction medicine fellowship program, director of the UW Hospital Center for Addictive Disorders, and founding director of the Program for Research, Outreach, Therapeutics, and Education in the Addictions (PROTEA).
The American College of Academic Addiction Medicine aims to promote academic excellence and inspire leadership in addiction medicine with a vision of high-quality, equitable prevention and care for all.
