The University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is interested in a Family Medicine physician to join the UW Health Northport Drive Clinic. This physician faculty will practice full-spectrum family medicine in the inpatient and outpatient settings, with maternity care (OB) being preferred. This position will be involved in teaching of residents, medical students, and other learners. This position will include academic scholarly work if the finalist is hired on the CHS Track.

Job Responsibilities:

Duties will include provision of clinical care of patients, with maternity care if applicable, and teaching/supervision of residents, medical students, and other learners. Teaching occurs in both clinical settings and in formal scheduled learning sessions. Time and other departmental and campus-wide resources are available to promote scholarly work in the candidate’s area(s) of interest.

This position includes participating in residency faculty call schedule, covering inpatient med/peds and OB, or potentially both. Faculty are expected to attend required departmental meetings and perform administrative duties, as necessary to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. There may be an expectation for nursing home visits. This position may also include opportunities to work on collaborative initiatives within UW-SMPH & UW Health.

Requirements:

  • MD/DO
  • or equivalent
  • Wisconsin medical licensure required prior to start date.
  • Certification by or eligible for certification by American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP).
  • Successful completion of a fully accredited Family Medicine Residency Program.
