This award recognizes an advanced practice provider whose remarkable acts of compassion, perseverance, and selflessness have a significant impact and lead to substantive change. Falligant is described as “one of the kindest, most thoughtful, and professional APPs who is a blessing to the clinic and his community of patients” and as a person who goes above and beyond daily to be a father figure, quarterback, and hero to the UW Department of Family Medicine and Community Health Cottage Grove clinic.
The annual Advanced Practice Provider Excellence Awards are sponsored by UW Health and the Advanced Practice Provider Advisory Council. Awards are given in four categories (Clinical Practice, Teaching, Leadership, and Unsung Hero) to advanced practice nurses, certified nurse midwives, certified anesthesia assistants, certified registered nurse anesthetists, and physician assistants credentialed through UW Health.
