Ejura Salihu, PhD
Congratulations to Ejura Salihu, PhD (Research Assistant) on receiving the Institute on Aging’s 2024 New Investigator Award! Salihu will receive $500 and have her research on the acceptability of inclusive Tai Chi Prime in Latinx and African American/Black communities showcased at the 34th Institute on Aging Annual Colloquium on September 18, 2024.
The New Investigator Awards are given to UW-Madison students or advanced trainees in recognition of their outstanding achievements in aging or life course studies. Winners are selected based on the importance or significance of the work to aging or life course studies, quality of the research, accessibility of the work to a general audience, and the strength of the letter of recommendation from their faculty advisor/mentor.
