Bio
Kayla Kubehl, MA (she/her/hers) joined DFMCH as a researcher in the Qualitative and Health Experiences Research (Q-HER) Lab in 2024. Kubehl completed her undergraduate degree in anthropology from UW-Oshkosh and earned her master’s degree in anthropology at George Mason University.
Prior to her current role, Kubehl worked for Michigan Public Health Institute where she focused on projects related to brain trauma, school sexual health, behavioral health, and workforce development. She was proud to be part of the team completing research on the impacts of fee changes in the no-fault auto insurance form. Kubehl is committed to making meaningful impacts and ensuring voices are heard through peoples’ shared experiences.
Research Interests
- Current research as part of the Q-HER Lab includes cystic fibrosis and diagnostic errors
- Previous research includes brain trauma, mental and behavior health, school sexual health, dental health, and workforce development
