Bio

Miena Hall, MD (she/her/hers) earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her family medicine residency at the UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale Hospital. She completed her fellowship in breastfeeding and lactation medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center and is a graduate of the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Leadership Academy.

Prior to starting the UW Primary Care Research Fellowship, Hall worked as a primary care and breastfeeding medicine physician in the suburbs of Chicago. Her professional interests include breastfeeding and lactation medicine, women’s health, and pediatrics. Hall is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and former La Leche League International (LLLI) Leader.

Hall enjoys reading, hiking, volunteering, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She credits her breastfeeding journey with her four children as her continuing inspiration to help lactating dyads in need.
