Bio
Hannah Ray, MD, MSGH (she/her/hers) joined DFMCH as a resident in 2024. Hannah is drawn to family medicine because of the scope of practice and ability to make long-term relationships with patients and their families. Hannah is originally from Ventura, CA, and she earned both her undergraduate degree in science pre-professional studies and her master’s in global health from the University of Notre Dame. During this time, she served as a volunteer foster parent in a group home setting. This experience helped shape her master’s capstone project that focused on maternal and neonatal mortality in low- and middle-income countries. Hanna earned her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. While in medical school, she was part of the Health Equity Activation Taskforce that focused on creating and improving the longitudinal diversity, equity, and inclusion curriculum for MD students. Hannah enjoys working with a broad team of health professionals, interacting with a diverse patient panel, building long term relationships with multiple generations of families, and being on the frontlines of public health interventions. She has specific interests in obstetrics, teaching, and academic medicine. Hannah’s hobbies include playing the clarinet, Dungeons & Dragons, yoga, hiking, painting watercolor birds, and hanging out with her husband, daughter, and dog.
