Michael Williams, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He provides primary care services for patients in all stages of life, from infancy to old age.
Dr. Williams diagnoses and treats a wide range of general health concerns. He sees patients for acute (short-term) illnesses like viruses or infections and helps them manage chronic (long-term) conditions such as diabetes or high blood pressure. He also provides preventive health care services and healthy lifestyle counseling.
Using an integrative approach to care, Dr. Williams addresses all aspects of mental and physical health and offers treatments such as acupuncture to address his patients’ pain. By prioritizing the health of their mind, body, and spirit, he encourages his patients to achieve their health goals and lead meaningful lives.
Dr. Williams strives to create lasting relationships built on trust and understanding. He takes time to learn about what’s important to his patients and recognizes that healing begins when they feel seen and heard.
Outside of work, Dr. Williams enjoys traveling, mountain biking, windsurfing, running and spending time with family.
“My hope is that each of my patients feels heard and empowered to live a life full of meaning, purpose and happiness.”
