Kristin Catani, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor. She is also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Catani provides primary health care services for people of all ages. She offers preventive care services, including annual wellness visits, health screenings and immunizations. Dr. Catani also cares for people with chronic (long-term) health conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma. She addresses concerns with acute (suddenly occurring) health conditions, including colds, flu, infections and minor injuries.
Dr. Catani says the most rewarding part of caring for patients is being part of their successes. She loves to see her patients thrive. Dr. Catani believes in working together with her patients. She takes time to listen to each patient and understand their needs and goals. She believes that when patients are active participants in their health care, they are more likely to be successful in their care plan. This helps patients achieve goals to improve their well-being and life.
Outside of work, Dr. Catani enjoys playing golf with her husband.
“I love being there for people, helping them at their most vulnerable and just being the person to say, ‘You’ve got this.’”
