Bio
Cindy Burzinski, MS, CSAC, LPC (she/they) is a researcher and director of DFMCH’s Wisconsin Voices for Recovery (WVR). She has been with DFMCH since 2012 and has been director of WVR since 2021. Prior to DFMCH, Burzinski worked in an outpatient setting providing mental health and substance use disorder counseling and at a detoxification facility providing assessment and brief intervention. She has co-authored several research publications as well as clinician-oriented resources on substance use disorders.
Professional Interests
Burzinski’s professional interests include addiction recovery advocacy, stigma reduction, community engagement, and mind-body therapies.
