Mark Anderson, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor and a clinical associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Anderson cares for patients of all ages. He sees patients in both the clinic and skilled nursing facilities. Dr. Anderson provides yearly check-ups and other preventive care. He helps people manage acute (occurring suddenly) or chronic (long-term) health problems. He has a special interest in sports medicine.
Dr. Anderson enjoys family medicine because it allows him to build long-term relationships with his patients and their families. If one of his patients needs specialty care, he can seamlessly refer them to a UW Health specialist who can address those needs.
Outside of work, Dr. Anderson spends time with his three children, plays ultimate frisbee, attends Badger sporting events and serves as the medical director for the Ironman Wisconsin triathlon.
“I want to see my patients live successful, happy lives at the healthiest they can be.”
