Brian Arndt, MD
Congratulations to Brian Arndt, MD (Professor, CHS) on being awarded the 2022 Mike McKinney Community Volunteer Award by the United Way of Dane County.
Dr. Arndt was recognized for his tireless work through both his clinical practice and community volunteerism that improves community access to healthy food that helps create nutrition security and improve health.
Dr. Arndt’s big-picture thinking, his leadership and connections with community partners in the Dane County emergency food system (especially the Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens), and his inclusive programming for individuals of all abilities embodies the spirit and volunteerism of longtime local leader Mike McKinney. McKinney, who passed away in 2006, was passionate about access to food, youth development, and HIV/AIDS awareness.
