The UW Department of Family Medicine and Community Health (DFMCH) has broadened its reach with the opening of the UW Health Janesville Clinic at 500 Midland Court in Janesville on February 25. This new clinic enhances access to primary care services in south central Wisconsin and serves as a new site for medical student rotations.
The family medicine clinic will feature three DFMCH primary care providers – one physician and two advanced practice providers – supported by nursing and laboratory staff. It marks the 18th family medicine clinic in the network.
“The UW Health Janesville Clinic is an exciting development for the community, DFMCH and UW Health. The community of Janesville will now have expanded access to great primary care, which is important in this growing community of more than 65,000 people,” said DFMCH Vice Chair of Clinical Care Russell Lemmon, DO.
The 9,900-square-foot facility offers a wide range of adult and pediatric primary care services, including office visits for preventive, acute, and chronic disease management care, immunizations and vaccinations, care coordination, annual physicals, sports physicals, and wellness services. Laboratory services and medical imaging are available on-site.
The clinic could also serve as a local primary care hub for patients in southern Wisconsin who currently get their specialty care at UW Health locations in northern Illinois, according to Lemmon.
The UW Health Janesville Clinic will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients can schedule appointments through MyChart or by contacting the clinic at (608) 916-2600.
