Bio
Erika R. Anna, MS, RDN, CD (she/her/hers) is a Health Equity Coordinator in the DFMCH Office of Community Health (OCH) focusing in two priority areas: building community health worker capacity locally and regionally and working in partnership with DFMCH colleagues to build our Food is Medicine portfolio with a focus on prioritizing the involvement of community partners as key contributors in those efforts.
A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist by training, Anna was teaching faculty in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Wisconsin – Madison prior to joining the OCH. Her teaching and outreach responsibilities included instruction related to public health and community nutrition, and her community-engaged outreach included the delivery of medical nutrition therapy (clinical nutrition) and the provision of culturally responsive food and nutrition care within Wisconsin’s migrant and seasonal agricultural worker communities.
She holds an MS in nutrition from the University of Saint Joseph, completed her nutrition residency with UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin, and holds a BS in dietetics from the University of Wisconsin – Madison Department of Nutritional Sciences.
