Congratulations to Shelly Shaw, MPH (Director, DFMCH Office of Community Health) on being a featured panelist at the 2024 CommUnity Conference: Civic Health in Wisconsin and Beyond. The panel, “Civic Health: A Key Factor for Improving Community Health and Social Connectedness,” explored how “community health promotion, the social determinants of health, and efforts to create communities that foster a sense of belonging are integral to all of our health and well being.”
CommUnity Conference, held by the University of Wisconsin Center for Community and Nonprofit Studies, connects nonprofit professionals, community leaders, students, researchers, and faculty as part of the center’s community-engaged teaching, research, and outreach at UW-Madison.
