Ann Evensen, MD, FAAFP, completed her undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She had residency training at the University of Washington-affiliated program in Renton, WA. Prior to joining the UW in 2005, she practiced in rural and private practices in WA and WI. She was named a Master Teacher by the UW Department of Family Medicine and joined the Verona residency faculty in 2007. She is the Director of Global Health for the DFMCH and the Faculty Director for the UW Madison Graduate/Professional and Capstone Certificate Programs in Global Health Online. Her other professional interests are low-risk obstetrics, women’s health, office-based procedures, and the intersection of primary and emergency care including emergency obstetrics. She loves to explore the ethnic food riches of Madison and lives in Verona with her husband and dog Buster.
