The statements reflect our core efforts in patient care, education and research; honor our long-standing commitment to community health; and emphasize our focus on health and well-being.

We strengthen personal and community health through education, clinical care, research, community engagement, and advocacy to transform health care for all.
Our Vision
Our department is unified by bringing joy and compassion to our collective work in partnership with patients, families, and communities. We honor the histories of those around us while co-creating new ways of thriving.
Our Strategic Priorities
- Define relationally-driven primary care teams that achieve joy and ease of clinical practice while addressing priority needs of communities.
- Increase the number and diversity of learners engaged with family medicine.
- Increase the number and quality of innovations in value-based, equity-driven health care.
- Assure that the department is a place where everyone feels engaged and connected with a sense of belonging.
