James Bigham, MD
Congratulations to James Bigham, MD (Clinical Associate Professor) on being selected as a 2022 American Academy of Family Physicians Vaccine Science Fellowship recipient! This fellowship creates a group of family physicians interested in the science of vaccine development, production, and policy who help address the interactions between public health and the family medicine community. Dr. Bigham will serve as a fellow from May 2, 2022 through May 1, 2023.
Two fellowships are granted annually and each fellow will work with mentors who have experience in immunization policy and issues. AAFP Vaccine Science Fellows gain education and practical hands-on experience through meetings with experts in public health and immunization, federal and state vaccine policy groups, and vaccine manufacturers. DFMCH looks forward to sharing in the knowledge that Dr. Bigham will gain from this opportunity.
