Congratulations to the Osher Center for Integrative Health at University of Wisconsin – Madison on receiving a 2024 Weil Foundation grant! Led by Vincent Minichiello, MD, ABOIM as principal investigator, the grant project will develop and assess integrative health-specific anti-racism training modules and resources for faculty members. The novel Integrative Health Equity and Anti-Racism Tool (IHEART) will be used with an ultimate goal of facilitating the application of an equity lens broadly across integrative health education.

In support of the Weil Foundation’s mission, the foundation’s grants help finance non-profit organizations’ efforts to advance integrative health. These grants are typically “start-up” grants to assist medical schools and residency programs develop educational programs in integrative medicine. The Weil Foundation was created by Andrew Weil, MD as a “long-term funding mechanism for the advancement of integrative medicine through training, research, the education of the public, and policy reform.”
